wojo4hitz on youtube is a legend with the quality and consistency of videos they put up of paramore sets
This is absolutely my go-to album when I feel pretty rubbish and down, but not defeated. This album is the right mix of feeling sad but absolutely defiant in the face of it. Really need a UK tour later this year.
I sadly couldn't afford the previous two UK tours (particularly gutted about mewithoutYou supporting them in January/February as I always love seeing them!) - would love another opportunity but it may be that I'd be priced out again.
I wanted to see them in Bethlehem but since I only like the latest two records it didn't seem worth it for almost 50 bucks
Just dropping in to say that they nailed the direction they took on this album. Not really my cup of tea, but damn did they deliver.
The only other album I can think of that has come out in recent times that I have listened to in full as frequently as this one is Air For Free by Relient K. I still listen to this at least weekly, usually more. Outstanding record.
I’m in RT3! I’ll be wearing a white t-shirt that says “why be racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic when you can be quiet?” And I’ll be with a short girl with bright pink hair. Say hi if you see me!
This record has become one of my favorite records overall by any band. I’ve always really liked Paramore, but I was always a bit embarrassed to admit it for some reason. Sadly, if I’m honest about it, it’s because I am a guy and I was in my mid to late 20’s when they really rose to prominence, so I felt like my friends would look down on me for some reason. I’m older now though (32) and a bit wiser, and this record just really shook me out of my shell. Every song on here speaks to me in some way and it’s allowed me to feel no shame in the things I enjoy, and tap into aspects of myself I felt too scared to share with others.
