I’d prob say Rose Coloured Boy or Fake Happy could be on my SOTY list, but yeah this flirting with the top 5 for AOTY
Rose-Colored Boy, Idle Worship, and Fake Happy are the best songs, but there isn't a single song I dislike on here. After spending a lot of time with it, I'd say this is the band's best work. I love S/T to death, but the conciseness of this record compared to that one gives it the edge. This will be in my top 5.
Told You So is my song of the year. I was hooked on the guitar from the first listen and think the rest is flawless. Pool and Tell me how probably round out my top 3 on the record with idle worship and Fake happy right behind. Then rose colored boy. This is an easy album to me to rank songs within haha
I've gone back and forth on this one a lot, but now I think it's their best album. I'm not a big fan of 26, Caught in the Middle, or the last two songs, but everything else is very strong.
I think this is joint with BNE as their second best for me. Self titled is my favourite but this could overtake that.
I already loved Rose-Colored Boy, but seeing them close the show out with it a few weeks ago cemented it as one of my favorite Paramore songs. Maybe my favorite. Definitely in my top songs this year. So so good.
Lyrically, I'm cool on "Caught in the Middle", but musically/rhythmically it's a total jam. Fake Happy and Idle Worship are my favorites. The only song I can say I'm not all that crazy about is "Forgiveness". After the album kicks off with 3 bangers it kinda slows everything down a little too abruptly IMO. To it's credit, the swing in the rhythm of the bridge is really cool though. Overall, the album ties with BNE as my favorite album from the band.
Totally. Zac and JMJ are a match made in rhythm section heaven, allowing Taylor and Hayley to utilize their instruments more creatively. I also appreciate how Hayley doesn't over-use her upper-register on this album. She's got a beautiful voice regardless of which register she's using, but I thought it was cool of her to utilize her lower and middle register more than previous albums.
according to my fb on this day this was the anniversary of the farros leaving the band crazy how far this band has come in so many regards
Yesterday my friend told me that he thought Hard Times would be better as a Katy Perry song. What a horrible idea.
OMG I don't know what's worse, a random woman asking me to buy her panties or my friend thinking that Paramore would be better if they were Katy Perry.
