Yeah, the bridge is my favorite part of the song, it adds a great contrast to the more upbeat verses/choruses and leads back into the chorus flawlessly.
I listened to it waiting for the train this morning and involuntarily just started grooving like a crazy person
the harmonies on the second chorus after the bridge They always nail those but it's still just so satisfying to hear
Yea it's definitely the part that really is like ok yea this is Paramore for sure. Hayley's melodies are always on point. And I agree that it's pretty much impossible to listen to this and not start groovin. I was dancing in my kitchen last night.
I love how the melody on the steel drums/guitar during the verses doesn't quite go where you think it will. Like you think it would be ascend - descend / ascend - descend, but it's ascend - descend / ascend - ascend Just a little thing but makes me love the song even more
I'm usually not much of a lyrics guy and spend way more time on the musical side of things, but I really like these bridge lyrics haha. I guess the whole song really, but I especially appreciate the bridge.
This is probably the first time in ten years that I'm excited for a new Paramore record, really love this song. Would fit right in on my 80's playlist.
That, along with their follow up EP. They had an EP before their first album, which had better versions of a couple of future tracks. Gotta bring up The Medic Droid when talking about Innerpartysystem. With the exception of For Sure, they had a couple of really good tracks.
If we're going to dig out some throwbacks, I always enjoyed PlayRadioPlay!/Analog Rebellion. Dude would have been much bigger had that stuff come out a few years later. What ever happened to him?
Hmm here's a fun thing that someone reminded me of - they promised on Parahoy that if Taylor sang on the record, Hayley would agree to do All I Wanted live.
I will literally die and be reborn if Paramore plays All I Wanted live. Or even tries. Sign me up for Parahoy next year if that's true
All I Wanted would be amazing. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. Really I probably should go on the next Parahoy regardless. Sounds like an amazing time.
I absolutely love the aesthetic of the music video. Every time I go to listen to Hard Times I pull up the video. It's so great
