Oh I haven't looked at "No Friend" yet, I'll do that in a bit. I ripped the "Accident Prone" cover I meant. Haha. My bad.
Pretty sure the show on Friday cemented this as my #2 of the year until further notice. I really adore it (and them). P.S. Thank you Jason for doing the lord's work.
I'm speechless after the Riot Fest show. Best set of the weekend and it's not even close. Loved every second of it. Of course I wish it was longer, but what we got was perfect. I still wish I could've seen the tour one setup, but the circle thing is actually really cool and used well, so I'm not mad. The best band in the world? Probably. Also shout out to Hayley breaking the Riot Fest no crying rule.
yeah, there's some VERY inaudible vocals at the beginning that i can't quite make out, before the lyrics officially start. i've been wondering what exactly he's saying.
"real news: Fake Happy is the next single from After Laughter. you can call your local alt stations & request it. " -Paramore
I wish I was going. They're here Saturday but we're going to Pinegrove instead. Tickets were half as much as Pinegrove is great Next time though
When the heck will this Tiny Desk Concert come out. I don't know how long it usually is between recording and release, but I'm anxiously awaiting.
They were great last night. Hayley has such a fun level of showmanship. Speaking of Pinegrove, I literally just listened to Cardinal for the first time a few days ago and I absolutely love it.
I'm actually ridiculously jealous because I wish I could listen to Cardinal for the first time again.
This is a band I am dying to catch live. They were spotted in Chatham a few weeks ago, which is ten minutes from my town. A friend got a picture with them and asked why they were around here. Apparently they had just got done recording a new album.
I am here for the off topic Pinegrove talk. Band's next album will launch them into the stratosphere, I have no doubt of that.
I took my girlfriend to see them last week. I think it was probably my 6th or 7th time seeing them since 2005. Only two complaints. 1-It sounded really quiet. Like, I could easily talk over the music if I wanted to. Must have been just the position of our seats, but yeah... I thought that was weird. (or maybe I'm going deaf). 2-Not a single song from AWKIF (which is still my fav Paramore album since I have soooo many memories with it) But other than that, it was a really solid set and a fun night.
I'm pretty ok with no AWKIF songs. Mostly likely would only get either Emergency or Pressure, and I've heard both live enough that I'm glad they have been replaced with something else. Also, I think the first two albums are absolutely their weakest
AWKIF and Riot are definitely their weakest, but they're also the most nostalgic and fun for old fans. Like, I downloaded the leak of AWKIF before I even knew who they were, I joined their street team, and saw them every chance I could since then, and it's because of the songs on that first album. So that one means more to me than any of the others, even if the others are better, in terms of songwriting and musicianship.
