The only thing on that I would change is swapping HTSYHB for literally any other of their slow songs. It's just such a slog. I can only imagine they keep it in the set so much bc Hayley wrote it for Taylor.
I wish they would replace Hate To See Your Heart Break with Last Hope is and just play Last Hope into 26 and have everyone in the audience just sit there crying haha
That would be SO good. I'd also love to see In The Mourning again or even We Are Broken/When It Rains. Still waiting on Hayley to make good on her promise to put All I Wanted in the set since Taylor sang on the album. Fingers crossed for Parahoy.
for real though HTSYHB isn't a bad song (I especially love the bridge) but it was the only part during their set where I felt a visible dip
I'm fine with HTSYHB, but it is one of the songs I'd swap out if I could. I'm sure it'll be very tender live, though.
I mentioned to my boyfriend after the Iowa show that it was the only thing I was disappointed about, and he was like "ohh was that the weird slow one? yeah it was the first time I've heard a song by them I didn't really like." (he's not an avid listener) It just seems like such an odd choice when they have so many stronger ballads.
it's such a weird choice the more I think about it I think you're otm with Hayley wanting to include it bc she wrote it for Taylor, also could be they want a different vibe in the set, but like you said they have other better ballads so it's confusing
Still heart broken I couldn't get into Parahoy and fingers crossed patiently on the damn waiting list.
scooby is mad fun the everywhere cover is perfect I get why ppl are mad but I loved them both when I saw em ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it's not like they are bad songs it's more that, with a band with such an extensive discography, i think there are better suited tracks to hear that i'm sure they had to cut from the planned setlist in the first place
I'm a little bummed they changed the stage set up because I really liked the lights surrounding the stage they've had going on, but this looks cool too. I like HTSYHB, but I agree there are other songs I'd rather see. Especially since they are already doing one acoustic ballad (26). I'd rather see them do a song like Last Hope which is still a slower song but not just acoustic guitar, or at least go for the hit song and do the Only Exception. Or even make an acoustic version of a different song. I would love to get an acoustic/stripped down version of Proof actually. I don't have a problem with the cover songs. I think it's cool they give Zac a minute in the spotlight. It's a big deal he's back so I think it's cool that they really highlight that. I am so excited for the Fleetwood cover. Love that song and I'm sure it's great hearing Hayley sing it. Going on Parahoy definitely helps me feel more ok with it though, since I know I'll see a bunch of other songs on there, I'm not as upset to waste a couple spots on covers now.
i'm gonna try to catch a PA date, haven't seen them since riot and i caught myself would be one of my most anticipated. not a terrific set list according to my tastes but i can't complain much; not playing emergency is still a travesty though.
I would also rearrange a bit. For instance, a 3 song encore is excellent. But the ones they chose I wouldn't think to end with. RCB specifically I feel like is not a set ender.
would love this and also for both songs to be on Spotify again. my fall playlists haven't been the same without Decode.
