Also still loving it! I'm actually just about to put this on while I make myself pancakes. I'm seeing them in 11 days. I cannot wait.
Still playing this regularly at the shop I work at. I like it, and it's well received if somebody acknowledges the music. Also, it's a hell of a lot of fun as well as endearing. Hayley really wasn't holding back any punches.
Since I love this album so much I feel like I should go back and listen to the S/T again. Not that I hated it but there was about half the album I didn't care about and I go back to it the least. Also, I am really kicking myself for not getting tickets to Orlando and now I'm debating if I want to spend the money to buy a ticket with this impending hurricane coming too.
This album get better every time I listen to it. It's one of the best albums of the year, where it lands on my EOTY list is a function of how often I put it on.
Still a three-way fight between this, Manchester Orchestra, and '68 for my AOTY. It just doesn't stop being good.
I have tickets for that date. Even if it does hit Florida, it looks like it won't be here by Saturday but they could end up cancelling or postponing by then. I honestly don't care about the money, I just really want to see them lol. The last time I was able to go was 7 years ago.
If you enjoy Riot!, I'd check Brand New Eyes out. Personally, I think it's the best from their most aggressive days and probably their second best over all (after AL).
I think this and S/T are their best, but I can understand why some people may feel like S/T isn't consistent enough or is too sprawling.
I really love this record but I haven't taken the time to listen to any others yet. I should change that this week
BNE will always be my favorite for importance reasons and sentimental reasons but then it's probably s/t This could rise more in esteem over the years but s/t is probably top 3 if not my favorite album of the 2010s s/t is absurdly good
I don't agree S/T is too long because even though I think most people would cut one or two songs, I don't think anyone would agree what those songs should be, so all of those songs are doing what they're supposed to, even if the song's style is not for you. Like I could cut Proof, but I know a lot of people love that one, and I love Be Alone, but I know a lot of people don't care much about it. After Laughter, BNE, and ST could all be my favorite on a given day.
proof rules be alone, now, grow up, and hate to see your heart break are the cuts i'd make. be alone especially, that's 100% the definition of an unnecessary track
