Manny Marroquin mentions in a new interview that he just finished mixing the new Paramore new album: It’s common for records to have multiple producers and just as many mixers. Marroquin views that as a choice that depends in large part on the genre and artist. “We just finished the record for Paramore,” he explains. “That band needs one consistent sound because it’s an album with one producer. But then you get another band or genre and they may have several. If there’s only one producer, nine times out of ten it’ll be the same mixer. So, it depends a lot on who the producer is. In today’s world, we don’t necessarily listen to albums as much as we used to, so it becomes less important to have [only] one mixer.” more Not all embedded content is displayed here. Eh, he's worked with a versatile list of artists so there's really not much of a correlation between what he has produced and what that album is going to sound like. Plus, he's not the only producer on this album as Carlos de la Garza, with a much more rock background, worked on it as well.
Manny Marroquin (wikipedia) Toni Braxton/2 Pac / Sisqo / Alicia Keys / Kanye West / Faith Evans / Pitbull / Bruno Mars...... True, I forget where i read it's the co producer of this new album
Well, his credits are very pop-oriented, but he's done Foals, blink-182, FKA Twigs, Portugal. The Man, Tegan & Sara - out of the things that I felt were up my alley, with tons of versatility as it seems.
