I really miss this band sometimes. It's sad they never got bigger. Does anyone remember the band some of the members were in before Paper Route? This was my jam back in high school, and still holds up pretty well.
There’s an alternate universe where Pretend and Mona Lisa were huge hits. Always thought one of those 2 could have catapulted them.
Chariots is definitely my favorite/their most single-worthy song, but it felt inevitable that they’d be a niche band by that point. I wish something off of Peace would have blown up though (Love Letters?). I bet they’d still be around if that were the case
Peace and Real Emotion were both full of great single-worthy tracks. It's a shame they never got that big break.
JT has a new project. Doesn't really sound like Paper Route but I thought it was pretty cool. PREMIERE: The Voodoo Children (K. Flay Producer JT Daly) Drop “Caroline”
Sounds pretty good! I don't find it to be a huge departure from the Paper Route sound. Looking forward to hearing the EP.
Really dig this. It's good to hear JT's voice again. The female vocals are solid, too. Edit: Just realized JT co-wrote "Blood in the Cut" by K. Flay. It does weirdly kind of sound like a Paper Route song.
JT's new project Mad Wave released an EP last year that is pretty solid. Assuming we'll get Side B at some point. Seems like he's jumped around to a few different projects since Paper Route ended and they each release a song or two and then disappear. Mad Wave - Instant Nostalgia (Side A) • chorus.fm
Wasn't Mad Wave initially called The Voodoo Children? The font on the album art is the same - maybe they just changed the name of the project?
