Favorite show of all time is still the academy is, panic, acceptance, and hellogoodbye at the rave in Milwaukee. It was right before the record came out and they blew up. Right show at the right time type of thing. I loved fever and pretty odd is still one of the great sophomore albums of the scene 00’s fueled by ramen craze that took over the world.
It is very cool though that Denver is on streaming and interesting to see Fever is getting a remaster that’s also going to be on streaming as well, curious if it fixes any of the mistakes Matt Squire mentioned not being able to catch in the insane timeline they had to push it out the first time.
I think you are referring to the Cricket & Clover album that was recorded in a cabin before Pretty Odd? I remember reading somewhere that Pete Wentz heard the demos and was blown away. Here's the track listing that was rumoured: Scarlet Feather Fingers True Love Phosphorus Skin Velveteen Nearly Witches (Demo) (reworked version made it onto V&V) Fill Me Up I Don't Have a Shirt, But I've Got a Hat Porridge There Was Once a Man from Nantucket
this album’s gotta see the light of day somehow. Throw the demos on an anniversary pressing of Pretty. Odd. when the time comes
I didn’t realize that fever rules with an iron fist with album sales. Get the band back together!!! If blink can do it twice panic can make it happen. Give us a comeback record with matt squire behind the board!! Would love those demos to appear online.
Listened to Fever last night while doing cardio. Still a great record (a good cardio listen!) It seems like all rationale thought points to a tour for this in 2026.
I get what you're saying bc the post-split era of Panic has been massively successful, but the online discourse around Panic has bizarrely shifted to the point that any content about the band has a comment section filled with ppl talking about Ryan Ross and spreading false narratives about the band. For some reason, a lot of people think Ryan Ross solely wrote the first two albums. I think there are a lot of newer fans who would love to see Ryan back. And because he's so offline, they can turn him into a character and project onto him. It's been 16 years- a reunion of the Fever era band would feel weird, but if the members want to do it, I'll be there, though it doesn't seem like Ryan is interested. It would be funny as hell if they got Brent back though.
it might have been a few months ago i watched that again and couldn't turn it off. i haven't watched a full set online in over a decade but that one always has my attention. the effort that went into that is astounding.
If they’re planning on announcing a tour, I don’t know why they wouldn’t have done that today, given all the hype from their shows this weekend. TBH the re-issue/Live from Denver announcement is kind of a disappointment.
Makes sense why they’d announce the reissue right after WWWY but was expecting a tour announcement too. Maybe waiting for hype to build and then announce a tour? Also the boxset sold out.
I’m guessing Brendon wanted to do WWWY cuz that’s where they’re from so it felt like a homecoming and that’s all he wanted to do in order to not feel like a nostalgia act. But also, it felt like they put in a lot of work for two shows. A string section and horn section, even though they had that on the VLV tour. Nearly 30 songs is nothing to sneeze at for only two days in a row of shows. Maybe they’re waiting a bit and seeing the reactions from this weekend.
Probably waiting slightly to not sting all the people that flew out specifically for it, like I did with The Black Parade last year lol
there may also be a non compete clause, like I wouldn't be surprised if No Doubt adds other shows but they're not doing it while they're at the sphere
Browsed their Reddit and everyone thinks AI was used. I admit some of it does look suspicious but glad to see it’s not the case.
