I know I'll get flack, but the allegations against Brendon himself were pretty flimsy. I will say it's very difficult to know what to believe on twitter. As far as the clips that have been widely shared from concerts years ago, he has definitely made comments that have crossed the line, but I truly don't think there were any malicious intentions. While there's no excuse, there is certainly naivete involved there. Just my opinion. I've also seen the clip where he's singing (rapping) along to a song that contains the n word. Again, while that is wrong, I don't see any malicious intentions there either. Also, here's what Brendon said about the Zack situation from a couple of years ago:
Look people are free to think/feel whatever they want but let's not pretend that a grown white man is naive as to whether it's ok for him to use racial slurs under any circumstances.
brendon and i are the same age and i found his banter really gross at the time, then again i went to college and became a hardcore feminist and his high school band blew up so idk
I agree, it's not ok and he should know better for sure. I guess my larger point and opinion is that he had no ill intentions behind it. That doesn't make it ok.
It actually wasn't too bad for my date at all, I was expecting it to be horrible after all of the Ticketmaster inflation lately but nosebleeds were going for like $50
Wow I totally didn't realize they don't even have a release date announced yet EDIT: Oh never mind it's next month lol, nobody has updated the thread title since the announcement
Panic! at the Disco’s “Viva Las Vengeance” hits #1 on ‘Billboard’ Alternative Airplay chart – 105.7 The Point
parts of this direction feel like the Pretty Odd followup we never got, and that is an exciting though
So I’m guessing this might at least be a loose concept album with a character named Maggie. Should be interesting.
I like this single a lot more than the last but my enthusiasm for this release is just not there. I am not a fan of how he handled the Zach stuff and its been such a turn off to the music.
This is likely the last hurrah before PATD goes into a slight wilderness phase and then becomes a heritage act.
