Not to spread like, Brendon Urie propaganda, but he explained on instagram after the show that he was so excited to hear the audience singing along to "Sins" so loudly that he was rendered speechless, so I don't think him not being able to sing "Sins" is indicative of any greater vocal failings.
I have gone back to it a ton, and I very much enjoy the album. I like it a lot more than PFTW actually.
I'm not sure if I like it that much yet but I loved that album. I probably like it more than DOAB though so at least it's not my least favourite Panic album.
10 minutes to showtime, and the arena is the emptiest I've ever seen it. There are only around 60 people in pit, it's really rough. Hopefully it fills up by the time the openers are finished, but it feels kinda odd.
I know it looks bleek but this is a systematic issue for bands of his size since the pandemic, there's been so many undersold tours due to a multitude of reasons
Post Malone sold that venue out last night. MCR's show there tomorrow is also damn near sold out. This is on the band and his flop of a new record.
A guy in the photo pit last night said he delivered coffee to Brendan and gave his contact info. Brendan gave him two tickets to the show and a photo pass. Guy was overjoyed taking pictures in a group of fairly snobby, jaded photographers. It was cool to see and a nice gesture.
I take back every criticism I ever had of Panic!, this was fun as hell, and Brendon still knows how to put on a hell of a show. Also the album translates way better live than it does on record, I was surprised by how much fun I was having. A lot of the crowd seemed to be singing along to the new ones, which surprised me.
I was at the show tonight as well in St. Paul and it was an incredible show. Like @Blink182Bouncer said, the album translates super well live, and I’m glad I got to go to this tour. I was in the pit right up by the front and it was the best Panic show I’ve been to yet, and I’ve been seeing Panic since the Fever days. Great great show. Beach Bunny and Jake Wesley Rogers slayed too.
