I've been thinking about that a lot lately for some reason.

 

Grammy noms are announced on Friday. Hopefully Brendon gets some recognition, especially with the success of High Hopes.

DOAB was nominated for Best Rock Album.

 

Saw him in Tampa yesterday and he crushed it. Set was awesome.

Lol my nephew continues to Stan patd and he's currently enthralled by the high hopes video. He's come to the conclusion that Brendon must be Spiderman because he can climb buildings, but now he's confused how there can be two spidermen

 

Oh boy the new Spider-Man movie is going to absolutely blow his mind

Does it have multiple spidermen? Cause he also said something about another Spiderman and a commercial and idgi so maybe he was referencing a commercial and is confused about where are all these Spidermen are coming from?? LMAO idk I don't keep up with the comic movie stuff

 

Yeah there's a whole bunch of different spidermen from different dimensions.

Oh joy, it's that time of the year where I watch the video and learn how little I know about anything

 

I am 19 years old I should not feel this out of touch with what's big in pop culture/YouTube.

 

Kind of shocked that this was completely snubbed by the Grammys.

 

Kind of blows my mind he doesn’t get like the pop vocal nod at the very least

 

I thought High Hopes had a sneaky chance of getting into Song or Record of the Year to be honest, especially now that they have expanded the categories.

High Hopes was everywhere on everything. That's a massive snub

 

Especially with Fall Out Boy getting nominated for best rock album

 

I mean, MANIA was significantly better than this so...

 

Ok chill lol (I love them both but I’ve always been more of a Panic! guy)

 

I like this a lot more than Mania actually

 

WAY more.

 

Mania is in my top 20 this year, but this is in my top 10. I think this is actually. It's definitely my favorite Panic! album since V&V (and that's not a slight at Too Weird or DOAB).

 

The only tracks I've really had any desire to go back to from this are Say Amen, Hey Look Ma, High Hopes, and Dying In LA, and I don't think I'd say really any of those are top tier Panic tracks besides maybe Dying In LA.
