Yea way bigger. It's got over double the spotify plays, is #27 (and has been consistently rising) on the billboard charts, compared to Say Amen peaking at #60. On rock airplay, they have both peaked at #4, but High Hopes seems like it could go even.. wait for it... higher, since it's been picking up steam.
Yeah it's wild to hear high hopes on our pop station because I haven't heard them play a panic song since I write sins and even that they just kinda play as a nostalgia throwback and didn't play it when it was initially released.
This is exactly what I was going to post. Sometimes when I'm driving I'll listen to Z100 and maybe once a month I still hear I Write Sins, but never anything else until yesterday when I heard High Hopes for the first time.
Really? I feel like Victorious and Death of a Bachelor were played all over the place. Even Miss Jackson and This is Gospel had some burn too. My wife doesn't listen to any of the music I do, so when we're in her car, she always has on like iHeartRadio or other mainstream Pop XM channels and I'd hear them along with all the other top pop hits.
I've never heard any Panic song on terrestrial pop radio aside from Sins. XM stations have played them a little more. Their last few singles I've heard a good amount of on alternative radio.
High Hopes hit number 8 this week which makes it Panic!'s first top 10 single since I Write Sins... That's so awesome who would've thought after 13 years that would happen.
Wow, I thought for sure DOAB or Victorious was top 10. Crazy that they haven't had one since I Write Sins. Well deserved. High Hopes is one of the best songs on the album
Keep hearing it on the radio all the time over here in the UK. Wild to think over ten years later since the debut, Panic! is still smashing it.
Ok this is what I was hoping would happen. High Hopes got to #6 which actually makes it Panic!'s highest charting song. (I Write Sins got to #7). Hopefully I'm not being annoying posting about this every week, but I think it's really cool.
