Yeah I just don't enjoy them as much. I don't dislike them though.

 

Lacks big choruses? Nah.

 

I think High Hopes is actually one of the weaker choruses on here but I think they're almost all great so..

 

One of the things this album absolutely has is catchy choruses.

 

I dunno a lot of them didnt stick out so much to me on first listen, but I'm fine being in the minority on that

 

Have you listened more than once?

 

Yeah, this album (at least for me) requires multiple listens for it to start hitting. I posted initially last week after one listen that I was kind of less than impressed and even said nothing really hit me or stood out. Fast forward two days and I feel like it's the album of the summer. I'm in love with it.

 

Alright yea second listen and it's grown on me. Still think Dying in LA is my fav on it

 

Gonna give the album more chances but not feeling it super a lot so far. Seeing some of these JT comparisons is making me wonder if that is why lol but imma try again when I'm on a drive or something. I tried to listen when I got ready for the day and again once when I was at the gym and nothing rly stuck out from those listens

Wild that both FOB and Panic! put out fantastic full lengths and some of their best work in 2018. Who would have thought!

 

Brendon said in a press event that they've learned and practiced 7 of the songs on this album, and sounds like they will play 6 a night on tour and might switch one in and out.

He said the 4 he didn't learn were One of the Drunks, Roaring 20's, The Overpass, and Old-Fashioned. I'd expect the other 7 to pop up in the set.

 

Roaring 20s would be so fun live tho

 

Damn Roaring 20s and The Overpass are legit my top two on the album

 

Dancing's Not a Crime is gonna be played live and that's all that matters. Every time I put it on I just want to move.

 

Dying in la is great and hey ma is decent but I don’t love a great deal of this. I’ll give it more time

 

Just bought floor seats for the Cleveland show. Never in my life did I think I'd pay nearly $200 for tickets to a P!ATD show, but here we are.

 

Nor did I think I’d be buying tickets 8 months in advance for a show haha.

 

of course i love this. guy just won't quit. the last three songs i'm not realllly feeling yet but they'll get there. i knew i'd love "Hey Look Ma" from the moment i heard Angelakos co-wrote it. "Roaring 20s" is my favorite though
