Best song on that album by a mile in my opinion. I forgot that was played early so I wasn't including that when I mentioned the album tracks being better than the singles.

 

Would love an album in that style as a side project or something!

 

Speaking of DOAB the album, it still really surprises me that Brendon didn't play Impossible Year that tour cycle.

 

High Hopes does not do much for me, but I am happy that it seems to be burning up the charts.

 

God Urie is one of the most entertaining frontmen I’ve ever seen. I am so pumped to see this tour.

 

I always forget he has tattoos lol.

 

Love seeing him rep Dua but that song doesn’t work really well with his voice imo

 

As someone who hasn't heard the original, I thought it was great.

 

Sweet cover. I like it more than the original honestly.

 

Hooboy that cover is pretty horrible, the verses are nice but he those choruses are rough

 

I feel like it would have worked better if they’d switched the instrumentation up from the original, like, at all haha. That chorus begs for a powerful voice like Dua’s, and Brendon falsettoing his way though it sounds really out of place

 

Panic! is performing during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final tomorrow night in Vegas.

 

Stanley Cup performance was pretty good. I love that they’ll always have female backing vocals now.

 

I'm real excited for this album.

 

I thought his SCF performance was pretty bad, but I think the whole PATD! ship has sailed for me by now anyways. He's gone a new and more theatrical direction and all the power to him, he's a talented dude, but I don't think he pulls off this new direction all that well. He's very pitchy live and doesn't have the full charisma of a Bruno Mars to fully take command of these type of pop songs.

 

Wow I totally disagree. He is absolutely full of charisma. Pitchy occasionally, but that's pretty rare for him. He's also constantly improvising and rarely sings stuff the same exact way twice.

 

Panic has always been a very theatrical band.

 

I can't imagine watching that performance, clearly staged for a crazy spectacle, and making any judgments about the band and how charismatic he is.

SHRUG.

 

The kind of pop songs Brendon is releasing with panic! are completely different from the ones Bruno Mars is releasing.

 

Brendon seems insanely charismatic as a frontman. I haven’t seen him live in person since the SR&R tour but even then he was fun. Backflips and stuff. And he’s only gotten even more theatrical since.

Wow just realized this is super close to release date! Thought it was further out for some reason

 

Yeah, there aren’t many solo male pop acts but it isn’t a very good comparison to draw imo.
