PLAYLIST: Palehound’s Songs That Inspired “Black Friday”

 

Aaron is pretty wonderful. Never really listened to this group before but I’ll keep my eyes on this

 

Oh my god this is GREAT.

 

No kidding! I was going to try to hold off cause it’s like the fourth single but I had to hear it.

She spoke about how Big Thief was the biggest inspiration behind this album and you can totally hear it. So happy they’re touring together this fall.

The only (minor) complaint that I have is that I wish they hadn't released four tracks that run consecutively in the tracklist lol

 

No surprise that this is fantastic. “Urban Drip” is a major standout.

There’s something special about opening a random thread of a band you’ve never heard of, hitting play on a song, and instantly falling in love

 

I saw them a couple years back playing for a crowd of like 40 people max and they totally rocked the house down

never listened to this project before but I definitely didn't expect it to be so subdued. think I'll enjoy it more on my next few listens now that I know what to expect haha. it was really good tho and Aaron is truly something else
