finally finished the new season, might have more critiques on this one than the first, but still very much enjoyed it. the scenes with Wyatt and Russ together tore me up.
Just finished the season yesterday. Really liked it overall. Season 3 should be good. The Roy/Cade storyline wrap up was too convenient for me, but whatever.
I disagree, I thought they did a great job developing her character this season. If anything, I'd want them to ditch the daughter
agree to disagree there. I really do hate Charlotte too tho. she serves no real purpose other than to complain every episode about how her parents fucked her life up. yeah, yeah, we get it. I am however very glad that Mason, Petty and Cade are all dead now. I hated every one of them too
Totally agree with all you said here. Although Petty is a bit of an exception for me because I kind of love to hate the guy, but he is insufferable at parts for sure
Just finished s2 finally. Loved it. The majority of the acting is so good. The result of the car shootout was very dumb though.
I think they were trying to tie up loose storylines for a more focused S3, though I really don't know where it's going to go. I agree, I fucking HATE Darlene, but she's a villain and we should hate her. Great acting
Finally finished Season 2...I think I may have enjoyed it a little more than Season 1. Bateman and Linney were absolutely outstanding. I assume Season 3 will be a summer release?
So much of the story is a hot mess, but I’m still all in and looking forward to seeing where they go with it. The casino looks like it will give a very different vibe to the season since it’s much brighter and flashier on the outside. And I’m hopeful that their marriage is as much of a focus as the trailer made it seem, because I’m a sucker for everything involving that and would watch just them talking for hours.
Not going to watch the trailer, but I'm excited. It's incredibly slow, but it's a good "watch one episode before falling asleep"
It's been a real long time since I've watched Ozark, so I could be forgetting, but I'm not sure I'd classify it as incredibly slow.
Yeah, that’s one word I wouldn’t use to describe it at all. The fact that it’s often so frenetic and jumping back and forth between high stakes nonsense every episode is one thing I would like to see less of, if anything. It can be sort of static in the overall story since we know they are going to be stuck there for as long as the show goes on, but the episodes themselves move super fast.
I feel like I have to binge it because I don't want to risk losing interest lol. I like Bateman, Linney, and Garner, but I don't love the show overall. It has it moments, though.
Huh. I never got a frenetic vibe from it. I thought it chugged along at a pretty slow pace, not that it bothered me. I remember a lot of negative reviews were about how slow it is
I haven’t read many reviews, but that’s funny that it’s the total opposite of how I see it. I’m just thinking of all the episodes where someone is kidnapped and someone else is being blown up and how the second every crisis ends another even more bonkers one comes out of nowhere and there’s never any time for the show or the characters to breathe. It kind of fits into Netflix’s binge model to have everything end on cliffhangers and shocking moments to keep you going, but that also makes it feel even faster to me. It’s not like other shows where each episode feels like its own complete story and stands apart even in a serialized format, these blend together much more.
