On episode 8 of S2. I love it. Not seeing this huge dip in quality between seasons that people seem to be seeing. It's maybe slightly worse than the first but still great. Maybe people who didn't rewatch S1 recently are looking at it through rose-tinted lenses since I binged from the very beginning? I am a little unhappy with some character choices with Rachel and Petty, but that's really it. Still so cool to me that Bateman directs the episodes.
Bateman's performance in the later episodes of the season is great. He's always great but he does so much without saying really anything. I think I'm 2 episodes away from the end and I really like this season.
Yeah you're right, looking back now I saw one person say it's a step down from S1 and another say that Charlotte was poorly used, but you're right, nobody outright said it was a big dip in quality and those are valid criticisms even in a season you still enjoyed regardless. I've just heard it from people i know in real life and have seen a couple conflicting reviews
It cracked me up seeing Charlotte texting from an Android phone and yet Marty's iPhone had the three dots showing her typing to him
I didn’t think anything if the phone part at the time and I’m sure most people didn’t either. Funny though once you know.
It's not egregious, I'm just an Android nerd so I spotted the Pixel 2XL immediately and it made me chuckle :P
I'm not any kind of phone nerd I just have a cheap android and couldn't care less if typing dots occur or not in an android/iPhone exchange lmao
One thing that bothered me this season.. it was rather ridiculous that the shootout of the Snell's car only injured Jacob and everyone else was fine. Did you see how many bullets they unloaded into them!? And being cartel, surely they would have armor piercing bullets. I can look past it since it's fiction, but that seemed a little too hard to believe.
Lol yeah I have no idea how two people lived through that. Edit: how many people were in the car? I didn't pay close enough attention if nobody died. I know they drove away but I just assumed the driver must have been mortally wounded haha. Anyways I really liked this season. I kind of missed the laundering aspect of it, like the details. Like the money just sat in two places the whole season cause it was just all about the casino. Which was fine, I just thought the business aspect was more interesting last season. Ruth is a great character. Really like Bateman in this. I like how Wendy settled more in to being a criminal lol.
I believe there were 4 people total. That's a good point, we're not sure if the front passenger made it, and I just assumed the driver was okay if he was able to get them out safely, but he definitely could have been wounded. Agreed on everything you just said but I actually don't like Wendy as a villain :(. I liked the show as the two of them just trying to get the hell out, but I still think it will make for great story writing next season so I'll deal with it
Finished the season last night, I think I actually liked it more than the first. Pretty high body count, curious where s3 is gona go
This was just renewed, btw. Kind of feel like they should wrap it up with season 3, not really sure how much further they can push this
Really? Surely you can say that about nearly every show. Did anyone see where Breaking Bad was going after two seasons? There's still potential for Marty and Wendy to truly break bad.
