Fuck this show for making me wait another year to finish this thing. But also, its absolutely mind boggling how the show can essentially go in circles forever, essentially barely doing anything, and yet be so throughly entertaining and good.
Whats funny now is that theyve put so much into motion with assumingly only another 6 or 7 episodes left that i’m now naturally worried that theyre not gonna be able to deliver a satisfying ending lol
if part 2 isnt until end of '22 or next year I'm gonna forget everything I just watched. Really should have gone in with a better refresher than the recap in episode 1 because my wife and I both forgot about a ton of the plot threads and characters when we watched part 1 which was frustrating but s3 was almost 2 years ago and we have too much going on just rewatch it all again.
I couldn’t remember why Ruth was not with them anymore. I didn’t remember that the casino had already been built and was running.
To be fair. I think the writers did too haha. For a while, its felt like Charlotte's character has been kinda forgotten about. Her arch is the weakest. They've leaned much more into Noah Not to say I don't like what they're doing with her in s4 (becoming mom)
Not gonna lie, I like this show and have watched it pretty obsessively since S1, but I am completely lost after S4 Part 1. No idea who is working for who anymore, I must've missed something important The flashback to Marty and Bruce talking about office space was an odd memory to single out - who is Marty talking to about office space in the present?
my assumption, unless i missed something as well, was that it's a code for something. he's putting something into motion and that's code for it incase someone is tapping his phone. "go ahead and pull the trigger" just seems to on the nose of a choice of words.
Yeah I think thats gonna be a reveal for the finales Guys, watch the recap. Its not as complicated as you all make it out to be. - Ruth is on team Darlene and Wyatt for a few reasons. (Killing uncle, not retaliating for being untouchable, constantly not getting the approval she wants from marty) - Omar killed Helen and chose the Byrdes, due to them helping to eliminate rival cartel and other sentimental reasons - Noah is pissed cause mom put a hit on uncle - agent maya has an affinity for marty and is trying to help out but stay professional I mean that's really it. Everything else is new characters
i'm still not completely understanding what wendy is doing with politics and the foundation. is she trying to run for office?
Where I'm lost is between Omar and Javi. FBI is trying to install some sort of puppet regime in the cartel, but have trumped their hand to both men, who apparently trust each other but also want to kill each other? Is Javi being set up for a takedown, with the 10 year thing a ruse? What authority would Maya have even had to arrest Omar without alerting her own bosses? It's complicated but never explained very well
Watched the first 2 episodes. This is the last season right? Cause it needs to end. It’s jumped the shark 15 times.
The way I watch this show I actually think I dislike the majority of the main cast outside of the Byrde kids at this point. Mostly selfish pricks which is clearly the point. I think its great that Jonah is trying to sabotage his parents, especially Wendy after all the shit she's done. Can't blame him after what she did to her own brother. He probably feels like he's just as disposable to her.
Just finished up the first half of this final season. Ruth’s rage with the Byrde family has probably been enough payoff for the whole series in my eyes. I was gutted for her and it was great to see it all come out. The office lease & pull the trigger phrase has to be some kind of foreshadowing as mentioned, it was too deliberate. I hope Ruth lands on her feet and Javi goes down (even better if Ruth does it), other than that I don’t really care what happens with the Byrde family or Omar
