The guitar part that comes in on the second beat is so goddamn good

 

Also, Bags of Bones is probly my favorite song of his

 

"Good Deeds" is one of my favourite songs of his now, I don't know why but I never properly appreciated it until the other day.

 

This video really resonates with me. It compliments the song perfectly.

 

I've never listened to this before. Is it all original songs or covers?

 

that reminds me, that Lungfish cover he did is sick

not to mention the fact that he is covering Lungfish

 

Just backing up the love for The EP, that's actually my favourite release of his

 

Originals. It came out around the time I Do Perceive did.

 

I think I'm alone on this but the Owen album I go back to the most is New Leaves

 

have you guys listened to his covers album? it's actually really great, which isn't THAT surprising since it's Mike, but you know... haha

 

I didn't find it that great, mostly because I didn't know most of the originals. I really only enjoyed the Against Me! and Smoking Popes covers.

 

I dunno if I was being blind but I couldn't find a general Owen thread so sorry if this is a bit off topic. I recorded a spontaneous one-take cover of Everyone Feels Like You, which turned into a slight mash-up of Everyone Feels Like You and Think About It. Given that there's a few Owen fans here I thought I'd post it and see what you all think. :)

 

I still listen to this album often, "The Desperate Act" has become a favorite of mine

Yeah, that whole Kardashian thing was a bit asinine from Mike, but definitely he has a talent for crafting some great acoustic songs. The Owen EP especially hits the spot for me.
