"Lost" is sooooo good! Can't fucking wait for this album, guys. Blink and Owen in the same month... pinch me
I pre-ordered before I even clicked play on the song, haha. Mike does no wrong! I've listened to the new song 4 times now, and I love it. So beautiful, as always. I love that Mike sings about how shitty getting older can be. I've definitely been going through similar thoughts in the last couple years, and Mike always says what I wish I could say. Love this guy...
You're gonna want to get on that. "I Got High" is about as perfect an album opener as there is, and there are several other high points also: "Love Is Not Enough", "Coffin Companions", "Bad Blood" - album is fantastic. As for this, I'm a bit underwhelmed by "Lost". What I always liked about Owen is that he plays and records all the instruments himself, and given that a lot of other musicians play on this album... you can't really tell from "Lost". It's still the bare bones Owen formula, which is superb in itself, but I hope the album really fleshes out some of his ideas.
love all (most) Owen - I just kind of wish he did another with the first album's kind of electronic-drone-tinged touch
Kinsella is a true legend in my eyes. I have enjoyed every song he has ever written under the Owen Moniker.
also i forgot to mention - I Got High is one of the best songs ever written. period. hands down my favorite Owen song.
