Haven’t been super excited for an Owen release in a while, but wow Virtue Misspent gave me all the feels.

I’m not 100% clicking with these two new ones but they are indeed beautiful and the album will be a knockout

I need to give these a couple more listens, enjoying the more lush production and the first single is still next level Owen so I assume these will grow

is there a tracklist for this release already? I saw on his insta he called those songs sort of like "bookends" thematically, and I'm not sure where are they put on the album (I usually try to avoid hearing openers and closers beforehand on albums I care for ;d)

Beacoup might be one of my favorite Owen songs of all time. Giving the album a NZ listen now.

It's good. I think this is the closest to earlier Owen he's gotten in a while.

It's why I listened. I don't know how much he'll play tonight but wanted to have some context.

Love the production on here, can’t wait to let this one grow. Halfway through and no misses yet (Virtue Misspent isn’t my favorite but still a good song)

Great album, to my ears a bit different sounding in writing and production than his last few, honestly almost a little too lush and layered at points for what I used to think of as an Owen album - but some really great tunes and moments within tunes. I really enjoy Mount Cleverest

I’m glad he added a more lush atmosphere surrounding it, that along with some of the riffs makes this sound like more of a departure from the signature Owen sound, which I love deeply but I’m happy to have something so different (that’s how I’m feeling after only one full listen). Also am I crazy for getting some Alice In Chains vibes on this ? Thought it at first when I heard Beaucoup, couple other riffs/progressions give me that vibe too
