Mike is going to Eau Claire on Tuesday to start recording the new Owen album.

 

I assume that means S Carey is on board for album #3 together which is awesome news

 

Did anyone else order Owen's Live at Bandbox vinyl? I got it a couple days ago. Haven't listened to it yet, and I forgot I even ordered it haha, but it's really cool. It came with a zine/book thing where half of it is an Owen section, and the other half is American Football. Interviews and pictures.

I’m at the opening night of the Gracie Abrams tour in Chicago and I ran into Mike when leaving the bathroom! I presume he is here with his daughter. I was going to say something but I didn’t.

He doesn't live too far from me so it's always funny to run into him and quickly chat.

 

Does indeed sound like Owen, hoping for a fall release but anytime in the cold weather it’ll hit

 

Not Owen related, just a RIYL - this gal has her own thread on this forum but I thought Owen fans may enjoy, the guitar lines, melody and vocal delivery remind me quite a bit of Mike

Mike posted on Patreon a few minutes ago that he's listening to the new Owen test pressing right now. So new album announcement is definitely coming soon!

I associate all his music with Fall mostly, later stuff more winter, to the point I thought the avalanche came out in the winter (I mean the art alone) but yeah anytime I’m ready

 

Would love a new album. Been listening to a lot of Owen/AF lately.
