Owel Band

Incredible band. Really really hope to see them live on day. Album number 2 most likely coming out this year. The ep released when they were called Old Nick is highly recommended. Still the best discovery i've made in a long time and I'm stoked for what has yet to come.

even better live than you'd expect. they covered where is my mind in the middle of burning house, that was unreal

 

YESS i went to a school where we were lucky to have a diy music/arts/culture club run by students and we got owel to play at our venue twice, they're AWESOME

 

That sounds amazing. Their Audiotree session was awesome so im def not surprised that they are good live. I can tell that they are. I sent them a message on facebook saying that I hope they come to Canada one day lol. Now it's not if but when.

My band played with them recently, they were incredible. Extremely nice dudes and played an absolutely flawless set. Totally blew me away

 

I STILL REALLY WANT TO SEE THIS BAND LIVE!

 

Hoping to get some news soon. Their debut has really grown on me. I now like it as much as the 2 ep's.

ahhhh excited. Need to listen to the EP more but the LP is my go-to any time I'm working/need to focus.

 

you can definitely ignore the EP imo, the lead singer himself even said he's not that proud of it

 

Why? I think it's pretty great.

 

i just couldn't get into it at all. when talking to jay he mentioned that it was a lukewarm response, saw some posts online, admitted that was me, haha. that's when he said he doesn't care for it much either and they didn't play any songs from it

Cool that they are on Equal Vision. This should be very good. I've def got high hopes.

 

The stuff from Old Nick is pretty fantastic. Loved it for years, consistently returning to it every few months.

This new song is fucking amazing, more similar to the Old Nick stuff which is awesome

 

I'd never heard of this band before I checked out "Paper Hands" but that single alone hooked me, so now I'm spinning their S/T and I am in love.

 

snowglobe is one of the best songs of the decade

 

I loooove Scales. The remix of it is pretty good too.

 

That ep is excellent. All 3 of their releases are awesome. This will be as well. The covers that Jay does are worth a listen too.
