No love for Scales?! Anyways so stoked for this. I can actually say that they are one of my favorite bands ever since I discovered them last year. I picked up their debut, ep and Old Nick ep which is also excellent. They reissued it in 2014 as Owel (it was originally released in 2012) so I count it as part of their discography. I've yet to see them live though. Really hoping that will change with this new album.

 

Also glad to see so much activity and discussion in this album thread because the band one I did never really got much action. They deserve to be talked about. Their audiotree session is so good. I need to watch it again sometime. Should be interesting to see how much influence Kevin Dye had on this album. It certainly seems like Owel influenced the new Gates record which is certainly not a bad thing.

dumb question but just to be sure the pre order through the band is the same as the pre order through EVR I'm assuming. Shipping costs, etc.

 

Awesome huge song-- though doesnt sound much like a single. Still i love the sigur ros / thricey vibes I'm getting

Excited to see these guys live for the first time next weekend. Probably the band I'm most excited to see out of the artists at Pinelands.

 

Their singer seemed very kind when I talked to him briefly with @cwhit last month.

Will hold off on listening to this until tomorrow. Can't wait though! I've got pretty high hopes for this one.
