they were self admittedly not very on last night and had a bunch of technical difficulties and the crowd was weird but i still think they sounded wonderful as always. the set choices are always super interesting because they do have a bunch of songs at this point and they're all very long, definitely not the sets i know i would make but it worked at least. think it was albert too young to fall in love pale soft light (i think)? burning house all i'll ever know paper hands snowglobe
I'm glad they kept they have someone else playing violin, I'd be a bit disappointed if in the future they didn't have one.
sorry for the rando bump but its super overcast and cold here today and im bumpin this for the first time in a while. hits the spot. such a good record
I bought a vinyl off of intheclouds recently and decided to do a search for OWEL out of the blue and I could of swore I saw a page for an EP coming out in 2018 that was TBA but it looks like that page is not there anymore. Really hoping we get an EP before the full length comes out to tide us over! Edit: Oh shit maybe the EP comes out tomorrow they did say new music on 10/26. It's probably this new song but never know.
Their first record is so so so so good and for some reason Dear Me just never clicked with me. I owe it another listen, as well as the new song.
You definitely should check it out again. I think it's better than their first record. If you want a slightly different take on it, you can check out their Live From Audio Pilot Studios release too, definitely made me re-appreciate the album:
LOL @KidLightning you beat me to it I was just about to post this. That release will definitely make you appreciate Dear Me more @Matt. Also it includes the b-side from the Dear Me sessions All I'll Ever Know on it. Such a good song. And you will probably be surprised to find out Albert and the Hurricane has so much lyrics. Love the version on this release and it goes seamlessly into Slow. I really need to snag this on vinyl.
