Yep, pretty sure it's something to do with the architecture of PSN itself if that article didn't mention it.
Had a match tonight on Route 66 where I sat on top of the payload and rode it all the way to the end without having to put in much effort. It was beautiful. Had almost four minutes of objective time. lol
D.Va getting a slight nerf but a welcome one, her defense matrix was becoming too annoying, especially when paired up with a Reindhardt. I do sort of wish the cooldown was 2 seconds, instead of 1 but I'm happy nonetheless. You can shoot while boosting as D.Va instead of it stopping when you try and shoot, fuck yeah. Mei's ultimate finally getting a boost, not a huge one but longer range and pierces through barriers. Mercy getting that buff though, doing 20% more healing a second, that could be huge. Lucio getting that 100% speed to 70% decrease with his amp it up, not too big of a change considering most people pick him for his healing anyway. Roadhog also getting a slight nerf in the sense that his Chain Hook can't hook people through walls, which was always really annoying, so thanks Blizzard.
New map seems pretty fun. A lot more vertical compared to some others. I decided to give competitive a try at least through the placement games and man, what a better experience. I was in party chat with my friend and even without the communication with the rest of the team, the coordination was miles ahead of quick play. Not the mention the one hero limit is great. Went 3-1-1 in the 5 I played last night which I thought was decent enough. Does anyone know if this patch fixed the wonky aim assist on console? Seems like it to me but maybe it's placebo.
From what I saw the vertical assist would assist in the opposite direction the target was moving. So if the target jumped up, the aim assist would push your reticle downwards instead of following the target. This made it really difficult to hit Genjis jumping around or flying Pharahs. Basically anytime your target was moving on the vertical axis it was just way more difficult than it needed to be. Overwatch feels ok, but compared to some other FPS on console it definitely needed some work. Edit: Here's a thread with some proof The Broken Aim Assist on Console Discussion and Needed Fix for Next Patch. Special Thanks to DrKid1585 • /r/Overwatch
in my opinion, not really. but if you have a PS4, you have a mic because it comes with one, and you have new friends in the first post of this thread :D
Almost forgot @Arry you down for some competitive OW with @CobraKidJon and @lightning13 as well? Haven't played it with you yet so sorry about that haha
Played 3 placement matches and my teams have been absolutely atrocious. Totally scoreless on all of them. ;_____;
