Blizzgod Jeff said they are looking at a Zenyatta buff. Praise be. http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20745755226#post-4
I decided to jump into my first ever Weekly Brawl for the "Justice Rains from Above" game. We lost because we had one player who flew to an obscure corner of the map as Pharah and just fired rockets at a wall the whole match, nowhere near the other team. Just fired repeatedly at the same wall. Throughout the game I would wander over and see if this person was still doing it and, sure enough, they were. Right up until the bitter end. I was livid. We literally just played the whole match 5 v 6.
Good read for some basic information: How Overwatch's Competitive Mode works | PC Gamer So how much you level up or down basically comes down to the MMR...you play a tough team and win, you rank up quicker. So in my games I was basically beating teams the system expected me to beat. Also a great read on MMR:. http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20745504371
Yeah I got in a couple matches last night in competitive and the teams were so so unbalanced. We got swept so fast and me and my buddy had top medals on our team and did awful. I've just done some placement matches so far and need 2 more for a rank, 4-4 so far. I now understand why the normal games before were called quick play. Some of these competitive games take a half hour or so.
The Lucio/Reinhardt combo is usually what I see in ranked. I tried Zenyatta and it was terrible. Definitely am looking forward to seeing him buffed.
Went 4-6 in my placement games, 1 of which had a leaver so it was an auto loss which sucked. Only one of those games was a good game, the rest were absolute stomps on either side. Rank 48, idk how good that is.
Have been on holiday in Mexico for the last 2 1/2 weeks and was looking forward to jumping into competitive games now I'm back, but it sounds like a mess right now :(
Yeah apparently it's bugged with KotH maps only giving 1/10th of the points for a win or loss, so you have to win 10 KotH maps to make up for a payload loss
Homestly competitive play sounds super stressful lol. I've recently had a streak of great matches, and I'm sure I would do awful in ranked modes.
I've been enjoying playing Widowmaker a lot recently. Pulling off a clean headshot is such a good feeling
Yeah people are saying that at the moment you have to win 10 games to make up for one loss, which is just ridiculous.
Specifically 10 KotH wins to make up for one payload loss. It works the other way too, you can lose 10 KotH games and it'll be treated as if you lost one payload. Hoping it's fixed by the time console competitive is out.
My expectations for competitive on console are super high when in reality I should just expect a bunch of people only playing Torbjorn thinking that will get them a higher ranking.
Will the Torb nerf be released at the same time? I don't know if I ever saw a timeline for when that's happening
Competitive patch is supposed to be next week while I think Torbjorn nerf was coming "mid July". Torbjörn is finally getting the big nerf he deserves on console
