Do PC and console have the same weekly brawls? I just noticed while watching a twitch stream that on PC right now the weekly brawl is Overly Defensive. I would love to do only defense next week especially since Solider 76 was a dud.
No, it's just a separate game mode where you'll have a publicly visible skill rating, and different skill tiers that you try to climb. One match also consists of each team both attacking and defending. Similar to how Rocket League has a ranked and unranked mode.
Thank you! So I can randomly be assigned to teams except now my play factors into my rank. So hypothetically it'll foster more serious gameplay. I like it.
Just posting some memes I found from tumblr, unfortunately you have to click on the links, instead of it inserting the pic, which is a bummer but here are some funny ones I found. Ghoul's Grotto When you hear “Die,Die,Die” - welcome to hell! When Mercy revives the WHOLE team after you ult
Ah right, I shall do that when I look at the Hero options tonight, thanks for telling me. Definitely gonna be looking more cautiously about who I give my barrier too now.
Ugh. I have had two days worth of crappy teams. Oh, it is an attack game? And our team already has one Hanzo and no support? Go ahead and pick Widowmaker. This is when the game gets so damn frustrating. In cheerier news, I have finally gotten good with an attack player. Tracer is my girl!
I had a nice king of the hill game that went 99-99 overtime in the third round that we won. I got 5 personal bests for Mei as a result.
I took someones advice and got decent at soldier 76 as attack. Still havent mastered. ill get 30 kills one game and 3 the next
Yeah, competitive play can't come soon enough, although I've heard it's really rough right now in terms of how the games actually played. People who leave games are going to get a penalty but it ends the game for the rest of the people playing. Had some tough luck with teams, mostly people just pick attacking characters and get slaughtered. Three genjis on our team and only one did actual work. I understand we're attacking, but we don't need four damn attack characters, especially three genjis.
Also with competitive, if you draw a map, like on Numbani, it goes to a tiebreaker and the attacking side only have TWO minutes to capture the point. That is some BS right there.
Huh? Nothing's wrong with OT, just the tiebreaker game. If both teams have failed to capture the point/escort the payload then they go to a tiebreaker game. I saw on Youtube, the channel is Unit Lost btw and it's great for OW updates, that on Numbani the tiebreaker game was decided by a flip of a coin to who's attacking and defending. If you're attacking, you have two minutes (plus OT if you get there) to capture objective A, instead of five minutes.
Ohh. Is it like a 2 out of 3 kinda thing then per map? I haven't actually read into competitive mode too deeply so I wasn't exactly sure when a tiebreaker would be necessary other than in an overtime situation.
I don't know how people do so well with Reaper. I felt like this guy was ulting against me every time I would respawn. it was so annoying.
Yeah, whenever I play as Reaper I just get crushed. But whenever there is a Reaper on the other side, he seems to know exactly where I am at all times. It doesn't help that twitter / meme's have conditioned me to believe all Reaper's are 13-year-old boys. So I always end up screaming at the TV "stupid teenager!" like an old man.
Yeah I like it. Competitive for that real team based strategy and quick play for the times you just want a quick couple of games with no added pressure.
The new Sudden Death is even worse than what Blizzard originally had • /r/Overwatch Competitive bans up to an entire season for leaving repeatedly. • /r/Overwatch the redditz are upset just like Rob
the ban is worth it for ranked. playing HOTS ranked was tough sometimes because of that. and i think Blizzard were too easy on people. i don't know what's changed since i stopped playing in February, but if you have internet problems THAT often then you should try to fix it - don't play competitive because it's not fair to other people. i play OW on both PC and Xbox and the only times i've had connection issues was because of Blizzard or Xbox Live. it's very rare that anything else happens. We got a new modem and router (that helped massively - speed was finally at its full potential and so was full HD streaming) about 2 years ago and I've been keeping the router's firmware upgraded, the router doesn't stay on 24/7, and I power cycle the modem every month (as recommended). a lot of people complain about their internet but there are probably easy fixes they're unaware of. or they're not contacting the people they should be to troubleshoot it to at least find out those fixes - whether it's the game developer, console manufacturer, or their internet service provider.
Haha not upset as I haven't played it myself yet but doing the same thing again must be frustrating. I'd love a KOTH type game on a payload map to decide it. That seems fair.
