100%. Whatever game I end up buying, nothing quite scratches the itch like Overwatch. Somehow I just keep coming back.
OW2 looks cool, but letting OW1 fester like this for another year is terrible for the overall future of the franchise
If I haven’t played since year 1 is this worth trying to get back into? I love the characters and style of the game, but I remember not being good at it and the community was kind of toxic to me for it
Honestly, I'd say yeah. I play regularly on PS4 still, and yeah it's annoying when you get people wasting you time not playing roles correctly or whatever, but that's about the max I experience. I don't really voice chat though, so that could be why. But the core game is still very fun. Mystery Heroes is the superior mode for me, just to relax not take it too seriously and get to play around with all the different cools heroes and abilities.
I really thought we'd see OW2 this year. What a bummer. I still come back to this game occasionally for certain events and such. I personally love Total Mayhem but it's random when that's put on. Mystery Heroes is my go-to when playing alone or not after a while. This has been the biggest dry spell for content yet though. I still think the game is lacking on tanks and healers, but it's looking less likely we'll see anyone new til OW2.
Watching the bts for Overwatch 2 has my brain running through all of the things that made me love the game and now I’m debating whether to abandon all other interests and hobbies and just getting sucked back in again.
Man mystery heroes is back to being broken after the last patch. Of my last 10 games, over 3 days, 8 have been stomp losses where we had no healers for the whole round bar maybe 10 seconds, and the other 2 stomp wins where it happened to the other team. Infuriating. Wish they'd do a ranker version of it.
Going 5v5 and the way that changes the dynamic is huge. Lot of moaning from the usual suspects in the gaming community, but it feels so natural to me. Everything about it looks great, I'm sold.
