Reading what y'all are saying and talking to my friends about their placements I'm not nervous to do my placements hah. Ended at 2170 last season so it looks like I might be starting in silver

 

Anyone can hold the shield up. The key to Rein is knowing when to swing, charge, let the shield down, etc. That requires more skill. Honestly I think the easier characters to play and be productive at are people like Soldier, Pharrah, Junk, Roadhog, Dva

 

id agree for sure. theres a lot of nuances to that character and all the characters really. even Mei has some skillcap stuff with her wall use and aiming the spikes. as much as I love playing Junk i cant deny that he doesnt really have a very high skillcap aside from maybe trap placement.

 

I've seen some Junks get real mobile and creative using the mine to throw themselves places, practically, hurling over everybody. That's inspired me to work on him a little more. He's so good paired with an Orissa and/or Rein though.

 

PS4. As a mac user, I don't have the option to play on my MacBook. I am hopeful of the chances of the game coming to mac with what Jeff said a few weeks ago.

6-1 now. I thought this was a weak play, but I'm not gonna complain about getting POTG.

 

Got placed at 1907 I'll make the tread back to gold next week hopefully. Really disappointed in how shitty my team did in placements tho, only won 3 I think.

 

I have this group that we do 6 man casuals and it's so much fun but they refuse to do ranked so that makes me sad

 

Placement matches continue to feel pointless... Finished at 7 - 3 and dropped down from my end of season SR of 2100 to 1968. The disappointment of dropping to silver was pretty shortlived at least. One match out of the placements and I'm already back in gold.

On to platinum now!

 

Mercy is still my favorite champ to play by far, don't know what it is about her but she's so satisfying to play.

Love flying from teammate to teammate to both heal them, run away from divers and use them as shields. And being able to boost DPS when everyone is topped off is fuego.. Just helped a soldier get a quintuple kill as we flanked behind, he ulted and I gave him a boost.

 

Everyone has decided to pick Hanzo tonight, and I'm over that.

 

I walked into three Hanzo ults last night unknowingly as Lucio and I wanted to rage so hard.

Hanzo's were my mortal enemy.

 

idk what it is but theres something so very, very satisfying about the sound of a hitmarker and the "assist kill" message flashing up that makes me love playing Mercy. Plus getting POTG with a 5 man revive is also a joy in and of itself.

 

Finished the placement with 7-2-1, and it was pretty much pointless like everyone else said. My SR went down by about 200 which means my motivation is gone for competitive.

 

8-2, SR went down 200. Many, many, lootboxes later, and all I have to show for it is a Hanzo skin, who I never play as.

 

That reminds me, you know what's super annoying? When you see a teammate in trouble, so you fly over to them, but somehow land in front of them? End up being a shield instead of a healer and die in about 3 seconds flat...

 

You can cancel your Guardian Angel early by pressing shift or whatever you have it bound to again.

 

On PS4 too? That's good to know, though often you only know when it's already too late and you've landed haha

 

It's so demoralising isn't it? I just don't understand what placements are attempting to do. I reckon even if I won all 10 games I'd have still been placed lower than my end of reason SR.

 

Well, I got back into gold with a few wins with friends. I got off for a few hours, only to come back to them up 150-200 SR on a winning streak haha. Then I dropped back down into 1900s... my luck!

Yep im back in gold again. Oh well. I did meet a really cool guy and girl who were a blast to play with, they also play WoW and HoTS so we added each other and I got them into my guild on WoW to help raid. It's just so cool that you can meet people online and form a friendship with them. Much like you lot in here ❤️ Even if we're on different consoles im glad we have this site to vent and discuss and laugh

 

Hope to play some Overwatch today. Haven't since like Monday. Flu just knocked me the fuck out and I haven't really played much of anything.

 

got my "Floor Is Lava" achievement tonight in comp :D was very thrilled about that.

ended up gaining about 50 sr today so i cant complain too much I suppose.
