solo queuing just sucks ranked in general for most games

although I still stand by the idea that parties can only be max 2-3 in ranked

 

"Look if I don't get a pick as Widowmaker I'll switch"

"I think 2 healers is too many if you can't keep 5 people alive by yourself go back to quick play"

ranked talk brings up a question I always ask myself and this is open for discussion

but when is it a good time to start playing any ranked game?

I usually do my placement games at the beginning of every season/split so it feels like it is always the worst games.

 

Pretty boring video of a game of quick play, but this dude named the video after my name. Choccymilk is legendary in the OW.

 

3-0 in my placement games. It's only downhill from here!

I'm 4-4 going into the final two games so I fully expect around 2300 sr.

Symmetra is plain ole unfun

 

I literally am sweating because of how crazy I was getting my last game

I was TRYING so damn hard to get to 5-5 again but of course I get 4-6

I had 20k healing with lucio and I was basically saving my team so much but this stupid hanzo on the other team just kept getting lucky shots on me and I wanted to rage BLAHHHHH

 

I was getting salty so I called my placements for the night.

 

Symmetra is legite my favorite support character atm. Used to not care about her what so ever.

I love her now, and am pretty good with her on Defense.

 

Haha I had a similar (yet worse) situation last night as Lucio... There was a Hanzo and a Symmetra on the other team who spawn-camped us on every round on Lijiang Tower. They set up with turrets on the spawn exits, a Symmetra ready to pounce at the exit and the Hanzo spamming arrows at the exits too based on where the sonic arrow was showing us coming from. I think they killed me 20 times in all as I got separated from our team at the spawn early on in the first 2 rounds.

It's almost as though they were using me as an ult farm. Strangest strategy I've ever seen in a competitive match. It felt close to trolling, but it actually worked well for them on some occasions as they tipped the game in their favour with the ults on both of those rounds.

 

Pretty sure your SR won't change too much from last season no matter how you do in placement matches.

 

Went 6 and 4 in placements and went down to 1630 SR from 1950 last season >.>

 

Dag, they must have changed things.

 

ive got 1 more placement to go and im scared. played a game last night and got POTG as Mercy and did pretty well solo healing. ive learned over the past couple seasons that solo que is bearable as long as you communicate, which thankfully PC makes it easy since all you have to do is join the team chat for voice or you can just type. generally people have been very nice and arent too quick to point fingers although i have gotten a few that were just toxic right from the start. im not sure why people insist on lying when there are ways to verify that youre giving us false information IE "ive put a TON of time in on Tracer!" *checks career profile to see they only have 2 hours on Tracer* or "wow you guys cant follow up i just killed a bunch of them *checks scoreboard to see that they arent on fire* or "how do i have gold damage and gold elims what are you guys doing?!? *other people on the team pipe up and reveal that they actually have gold damage/elims or w/e*

 

If anyone goes Hanzo, Widow, Genji, Tracer I immediately check their career profile.

 

I have trust issues. Especially when it comes to Rein. I'm a pretty damn good Rein. But it makes me super critical of anyone else playing him, especially if they aren't doing it right (being too aggressive swinging, charging in alone, etc)

 

SAME every single time. sometimes theyll hit me with "well i also played a lot on console" which is fair since i prestiged on console myself so i also have quite a lot of time on another platform, but PC is just a whole different experience that im not sure if that playtime on another platform really helps. not to turn this into "pc vs console" or anything PC is just faster paced.

ive learned that its very hard to carry as a support main and more often than not i just have to hope my teammates are really really good. i guess if im really firing on all cylinders i can carry as ana or lucio but even then its a struggle

5-1! This is probably my best start for placements. Been holding it down as Lucio most of the time.

Getting the Tracer graffiti skin again was a bummer though <_<

 

Rein gets shit for being "low skill cap" but a really really good Rein can be aggressive and still keep the team alive. I LOVE getting those Reins that know when to charge in and pick off a support or arent afraid to get nano boosted. theres a delicate balance for sure.

 

god damn it Cody stop rubbing it in. are you on PC? we should play together if so
