Yeah I hear you. Rein is my most played in comp, I'm definitely good with him, but a lot of it is me not trusting other players to do the job right haha.
Yeah exactly. Tanks are crucial especially a Rein. It's nice knowing the tanks are skilled and confident enough to anchor the team while the rest of us do our thing.
I've been digging Orissa a lot more on attack payload. Getting set up on the payload with her barrier is awesome. Throw barrier, attack until destroyed, fortify until barrier cooldown, throw it up again. Really good at running through teams.
Rein Dva or Rein Orisa is my fav tank comp to have as far as being a support main goes. I always feel more confident having one of those on my team. I also always get the Widowmakers and Hanzos that swear up and down they're really good at that hero and to trust them, and then they do nothing. My last comp game we had a Widow who wasn't doing anything so I politely asked him if he would switch to a different DPS. He then got agitated and claimed he had gold dmg and was on a huge kill streak. I looked at the scoreboard and saw he wasn't on fire or anything and when I pointed that out he told me to kill myself. Then our soldier piped up and said he had gold dmg and gold elims so the Widow must be lying. The Widow then rage quit :/
They weren't kidding when they described her as an "anchor" tank. She can set up shop and not budge while still pushing forward
I feel like this is why I haven't played in so long, because stuff like this happened so much that I'd just get too angry hahaha. I'm having a trouble finding the balance of "this is a game so have fun" and "these people are morons".
Most of my games are fine and people are friendly and communicate and joke around and realize it's just a game and just a number. Every now and then I get a game like the one I described above, just someone being hostile or stupid for no reason. "Oh you're going Symmetra? Well then I'm throwing that hero is bottom tier" sometimes I get shit like that too
I wonder if "arena maps" means 1v1 and 3v3 maps, or if it's a new game type all together. There were some old voice lines datamined a few months ago that had like gladiatorial phrases and seemed to imply some kind of new gladiator arena game mode or something. Guess we'll find out if those lines were put to use or not. Also idk if anyone has seen but it was confirmed that the stuff coming in the anniversary loot boxes will be added to the normal loot boxes and in the normal rotation so that's good
So excited for the event. I've taken a bit of a break from the game to play other stuff and I think this will be perfect for me to dive back in headfirst. It's been a heck of a yeah with this game
Despite resistance from Blizzard, Overwatch made Pornhub's top 20 searches in 2016 | PC Gamer "Overwatch was a mistake"- Jeff Kaplan 2016
Yeah, I think I'm going to jump back onto this in the next week on PS4. I loved this game, I'm just not very good and online gaming stresses me out at times
Yeah that is what I love about her. If you get your ult on the cart with your shield too....it's over.
Let's be more positive in this thread while the other thread has more discussion haha (thank you for being civil in that other thread btw just wanted to say I respect and appreciate that!) But yeah Orisa was a nice breath of fresh air for the tanks. She's probably my favorite one to play.
Oh you know it. I was afraid to post to be honest. But I think it has been a good discussion. Better than what most devolve into. And I think Orisa was just needed for me. I'm not much of a healer, though I dig the hell out of gnarly Ana's, and Sombra just didn't too much for me. I rarely see her in comp, and if I do it's rarely used well. Orisa was finally a new character I could really get behind.
Yep. Ana has been my favorite of the new heroes but Orisa has been a fun hero to play also given I normally main support. Maybe Doomfist will shake things up and be a dps I can really get behind. Normally if I dps I play Pharrah or Junkrat, if only because my thousand of hours in TF2 have helped me do well with those characters haha
Overwatch director wants more story for Symmetra and Pharah Blizzard’s updating Overwatch’s non-event loot boxes
I know it would absolutely ruin the balance, but I'd love a big team game type. 12v12 or maybe even larger
edited my post, thought the default number of people was 5 on a team, not 6, lol. been playing too much HOTS. i think a "free for all" mode would be cool. instead of team v team it's everyone against each other? idk. haha.
I don't actually mind duplicates because I already have what I want and it allows me to then not miss any event items. Currently back up to like 8k in coins after spending a ton during uprising.
