R/Overwatch is at it again.

 

Ohhhh that could be exciting

 

I still want to believe we're getting two heroes or at least two will be revealed and the other one comes out later, like in the summer.

 

So got this last week, been playing steadily as Soldier 76 as he seems to be the most traditional shooting hero in the game. What's the best strategy to start branching out? Any suggestions as to who to try next? I'm gonna do some research and watch some videos on different heroes I just dunno where to start. Meh


This question has probably been asked a dozen times but I know you guys can help.

 

I would just go into the Arcade, pick a character that looks cool and give them a whirl - no one plays arcade to win but to mess around. It's more or less what I did.

 

Road Hog and Junkrat are pretty easy in terms of playability.

My biggest suggestion is going into arcade mode and doing random hero. It gives you a chance to play as people you'd never pick.

 

just play Mei and always block off your teammates with the ice wall

 

+1 for random hero. There's no judgment there since everyone is totally randomized. Watching videos and reading tutorials is also a really good way to familiarize yourself with how to use characters

play mercy and never heal your teammates.

just shoot the gun.

 

For real though, do the random hero or play no limit matches and find a groove that works. It's hard to break out of your comfort zone when you get used to a hero but it gets easier the more you do it.

 

Some of these tips are not like the others.

That said, Mercy's gun can be quite nasty. It's especially fun to win against someone thinking they're just gonna get an easy kill.

 

I like how they've been giving us updates pretty much every weekday for Efi to reveal her story. I wonder when the inevitable trailer will come. I was thinking maybe today with the season 4 update

 

r/Overwatch going crazy today is the best thing.

It's also the worst because I'll be at work most of the day.

 

I do like how much quicker than seem to be moving in introducing a new character after the Sombra nightmare.

Bastion can heal while moving now? I have mixed feelings

 

Interesting change with the defense respawn times. I like it

 

Everyone's been saying it, but mystery heroes is the way to go if you wanna start branching out, it'll take time some time though

 

Thanks for the feedback brothas and sistahs of chorus. Random Heroes in arcade sounds like the perfect idea. Excited to get on that.

Yeah I think ima play some more Bastion right off the rip lol

 

Currently downloading the patch for this and Horizon.

That's cool they're keeping the Capture the Flag mode.
