Just reached level 100. I guess now's a good time to go back into temporary retirement.

I haven't played this in forever due to Final Fantasy but I'll probably be close to done by the time that event goes on. Good timing I'm pumped.

 

Started my placement matches last night after 2 weeks of being away and went 1-1-1. Not terrible

 

I'm 0-2 in placement so far and hate everything

The one time we actually started with a good push, someone quit so of course the match got cancelled

 

placements matches are the worst because all I ever saw in them was bastions and it made me hate everything.

Went 6-2-2 in placement. Placed exactly at where I placed in season two which makes me happy considering so many ranked down hard.

Also noted that I gain almost double the points for wins than I do losses. I think these gains will taper off. Enjoying it for now.

 

So far my experience in mid gold has been fantastic and I attribute this to the down ranking. Getting alot more mature and versatile teammates. Last season being mid gold felt like elo hell, now I feel like I can actually climb. It's wonderful.

 

This is awesome news. I can't wait to get out of placement and into real matches now hahah.

Of course now with ffxv it could be a while hahah

I just had a three round game on Temple Of Anubis that are team blew both previous rounds in the last minute.

It was even more ridiculous that me as Reinhardt had over 30k damage block and gold in kills with 45.

That shouldn't be happening.

 

Gonna start my placements later, gonna be hard to match the 9-1 I did in season 2. As long as I'm still in diamond I don't care, dropping to plat was awful

 

Anyone got any tips for stopping the payload push when defending on Kings Row? We nearly finished it on attack in a placement match and we thought based on our team performance that we would breeze it on defence. They managed to just secure the payload and then kept us on the ropes for the entire payload push. I was Soldier and felt absolutely helpless as they were all over the payload and just soaking up the damage with Mercy.

Who would've been a good switch for me? I thought Junkrat or Pharah, but felt losing Soldier in the team comp would've been too big a blow.

 

Need more context here, your picks could change drastically depensing on what their comp was

I'm not 100% on this, but I remember there being a Zarya, D.Va, Mercy, Soldier, Reaper and maaaaybe a Zenyatta.
