first game of placement and this guy on my team only plays torbjorn/bastion and so the team is constantly calling him homophobic slurs and other awful things.

I forgot this is why I listen to music when playing ranked.

 

I've seen way to many bastions in my first few placement matches.

I need to get out of here quick.

 

just finished my fifth game and so far I've gone 1-3-1.

I'm not feeling really good about hitting platinum again.

 

Played 3 placement matches so far, lost all 3. I'm the first to admit if it's my fault, but it's hard to win when you have absolutely terrible teammates. All 3 games had someone insta lock Hanzo, then proceed to suck. All 3 had no one picking a healer. 2 of the games there was a Zarya on the opposite team recking everything in sight, but both times the D. Va on my team refused to change.

It's like playing with at least a man down each time...

I played okay, nothing amazing, but didn't help that my teams just rolled over every game...

 

Solo queueing in overwatch is basically the worst thing to do no matter what system it seems.

 

Last season I went 6-3-1 in placement matches and got put around 2450 for my rank.

This season I went 5-4-1 in placement matches(4-1 in my last 5 games) and I got around 2280 for my rank.

I expected the dip thanks to blizzard Jeff but now I'm determined to climb out of gold even more.

 

Had a fairly poor night in the game. Sigh. Placement matches always go poorly.

 

I placed 2890 last season. Platinum. Placed 2485 Gold with 5 wins/5 losses. Now I probably was doing slightly better second season because I was playing nearly everyday back then while it has been more sporadic recently. But still, that's just a crazy dip.

Also @Shakriel , I hope your friend was just having bad luck.

Enemy Roadhog just hooked a friendly D.Va ult and got us a Team Kill with 10 seconds left in the game hahaha.

I just used 525 currency on Mercy's Caduceus emote, Resurrect spray, and Heroes Never Die highlight intro. Add that to her Angelic pose, "I have my eye on you" voice line, and Valkyrie skin, my Mercy is now fully decked out

"But that's, like, half the cost of a Legendary skin!" Yeah, well, I already have the ones I want for the characters I actually play a lot, so. I just get a lot of currency drops and duplicates in addition to a few very lucky Legendary skin drops. Opening Rescue Mei and Mechaqueen Pharah make up for those two Legendary McCree skins that I never use.

I spent 1,250 on Lúcio the other day. Felt so good. It continues to feel good too when I get POTG and see that golden frog spinning some decks.

 

I maxed out my Symmetra with everything I could buy, so I feel ya.
