the only fun ive had was watching the subreddit go into a meltdown. it reminded me a lot of being eagerly excited and then subsequently disappointed during the TF2 updates and ARGs.
Hasn't it been basically confirmed Sombra is coming Nov. 1st? Some code thing was decrypted by Reddit and it led to that date I thought?
Seems like a lot of long time players on here. Interested in hearing what your absolute favourite character to play as is (putting yourself in the dream scenario of having a perfectly complementary set of team mates)? I've only been playing for a week and still haven't tried out all the characters yet, but Junkrat is definitely my favourite so far. He feels like such a menace and every match seems to be packed with highlights due to his awesome concussion mine.
I started playing as Junkrat after picking up the game, have 20 hours with him. I felt like he was one of the more easier ones to learn. It's good to learn at least one character from each class.
My favorite to play is probably Zenyatta at this point. I feel like I have good control of healing and damage dealing, so I can kinda set priorities for the team in terms of both healing and attacking
Tracer. With even the slightest bit of support, she's a complete monster on the battlefield, especially KotH maps. Having some good heals means that I don't have to use my rewind to heal as much, and I can use it to make riskier plays - blink in a couple of times, chew up their health bar, rewind back out. I think too many people focus on killing the enemy player, and don't realize that crippling them is usually just as good. If they have to go back to their teammates and search for a health pack, that's just as good as killing them, it takes them out for a while. Tracer has amazing poke, able to whittle down health and blink out before they even know what happened, and can blink behind enemy lines to finish off that guy who has like 2 health left and is running away, because you can just rewind back. I love Tracer, man.
Started out playing tons of junk but as the team comps evolved his utility diminished. Now it's only on certain maps that I'll play him like lijiang tower or Nepal. Small spaces and corridors are your friend. Without question my favorite is Lucio. I'm an intermediate level player as him at best and still his importance to wins is unparalleled. Hope I can adjust well to his nerfs.
Playing against an advanced level tracer is my nightmare. I can't think of a single counter, not even Mei.
Roadhog maybe if they have good hook aim? Or Winston? As a support main I've definitely cursed out my fair share of Tracers who have pestered me relentlessly haha
i love: mei cause i love freezing and blocking people. i've pretty much turned the tide around with her ult a few times (there was a clip i posted a little while back here that showed an instance of this happening.) widowmaker cause doing so much damage in 1 or 2 shots feels satisfying. esp with a headshot. her ult is really helpful for planning. mercy cause i like being able to heal and boost damage. also, again, her ult. i like defensive/support characters a lot in most team games. in Heroes of the Storm, Jaina and Li-Ming, assassins, are my faves. But they are closely followed by Brightwing, Tyrande, and a more recent hero, Medivh.
Haha yup, feel like I'm constantly swiveling and hitting nothing but air. Feel like for tanks to counter her they need to be as good if not better at their role. Winston at best can fling her away, a good road hook could do it but it'll be inconsistent. Predicting where she'll blink to is your best bet at countering, about it. As much as I hate her I wouldn't mind if her ultimate got a small buff. It can be useless if not combined with like a zarya ult.
my big main is Reinhardt because I love being the shield and some of my favorite plays have come from him. I also use to be the biggest Zenyatta fan pre buff. I remember when I was the only one playing him and I was straight dominating. He is now in the meta and I stopped playing him for Mercy/Lucio.
My two friends and I roll Zarya, Reinhardt and Zenyatta and we usually do pretty well. Had some incredibly tense, fun games over the last few days.
Heroes I hate facing as Tracer - Winston, Roadhog, Genji As for her ultimate, it's definitely not underpowered...you just need to get good at landing it. It charges super fast and you can instantly take out most characters with it, sometimes several. It's just an extension of her power. Little bursts that add up, quickly.
I'm all about Lucio, Winston, DVa and Zen. I basically just like being a tank or healing, just like every game with a tank/heal in it haha. I'm still bad with Mercy though. Not enough play time with her I guess. My least played are defense heroes by far. Finally been playing Mei a lot, and on offense I have the most fun with Pharah no doubt. I basically like every offense hero except McCree. Genji is fun but I'm still shitty with him. I feel like I need to be high on speed to play as him.
I really like healing but I don't trust my teammates to do their jobs, I only ever heal in a 3+ stack, Lucio is fun
Play mostly DVA, Lucio, and Soldier lately. Try to play more Mercy, but my teams never seem capable offensively when I am, forcing me to switch. Trying to get back into playing more Tracer and Mei. Used to be so nasty with both.
Finally got to 25 and started playing competitive this past week. Games are almost always super one sided for team or the other. Don't really get that.
