@teebs41 this record is so consistent and has a ton of highlights! It'll be in my rotation for a while. I hear a lot of Thrice here, and that's a very good thing
This is easily one of the best albums I've heard so far this year. It's really rare something is this good. I'm putting in my request for a vinyl pressing.
@teebs41 the vinyl requests are nearing double digits now and thats on Chorus alone! I know i mentioned Simple Stereo today but another cool super small diy label that works with unsigned bands is intheclouds definitely worth looking into imo. I bought from them before. 2 early OWEL records. intheclouds | short run lathe cut vinyl records & apparel printing I think you're really gonna be interested by this one. Trust me.
Really enjoyed reading that track by track. @teebs41 was it written by Mike? And were all the songs written by Mike?
Mike wrote the track by track and Mike writes all the lyrics! Our writing process is usually I come up with some sort of skeleton and then mike will write a vocal melody, if we think it’s good we then bring it to the band and then it usually sees some sort of other transformation haha. Lyrics usually come when the song is close to completion helps build inspiration for lyrical content I think.
I love that the album is dynamic/uplifting but at the same time has some melancholy to it. That duality is so up my alley.
It seems to rotate between the two. Heck even Pillars itself has duality, with the first part being sad but then the second half it’s gonna be ok
Sign this Saiyan up for the vinyl wish list. @JediMasterKevo182 your review made me curious, but you weren’t kidding! this band has all the power of a super Saiyan!
I have them, going to try to get them up on bandcamp and genius today! I was thinking of throwing up the track by track on genius too
It was my turn to pick our music this morning during our morning hour before we opened. I made everyone listen to this today
