Our Flag Means Death (HBO Max) TV Show

Looks like it could be fun

 

Hopefully this does for pirates what What We Do In The Shadows did for vampires.

Would have been a funny bit if they had figured out a way to anachronistically make this show a mockumentary style also.

 

This is quite fun. Black Pete is hilarious.

 

Started this today. Pretty good so far.

 

Watching the first episode now... like most shows, I'll at least give it 2-4 episodes before giving up, but the first episode has.... left me wanting for more comedy than I was expecting from this.

 

Yeah, it’s almost there but misses the mark.

Its nice seeing Taika dialed down a little.

 

Was waiting for the Will Arnett cameo.

 

felt like this dragged a bit. by the end, I wasn't thrilled about finishing.

 

Damn I'm surprised this show didn't get much traction here, I actually really enjoyed it by the end. Definitely a slow start but by the time Blackbeard comes in I was hooked all the way to the end. Hope it gets a second season

Kinda surprised it wasn't already renewed. Guess they wanted to wait until the start of pride month to announce it?

It only gets better as it goes on

 

Totally did not realize we were getting new episodes so soon until the “new episodes” banner showed up on hbo

this should be the biggest show on television. Really hope at least it gets to go out on its own terms

 

Same, I’m worried it’s not going to season 3, but on Tik-Tok and in queer circles it seems pretty damn big so who knows.
