they released "Four Desires," four different versions of "Desire" mostly remixes.

 

Desire is my favorite off the new record, but I haven't gone back to it much.

 

hate to admit it but the same goes for me.

 

When are these cats releasing a follow-up?

 

I remember that Aquarium Drunkard mentioned they had broken up in their End-of-the-Decade coverage, but I have found no evidence of that anywhere? Would like to hear something official, for sure.

new song is whatever. Not nearly as electric as what Ought was pulling off at their peak

 

Yeah I’ll listen to this band and i like the sound of Cola, but this song feels understated so it’s hard for me to know what to expect. Gonna miss Ought.

 

Hmmmm I like this new track a lot. Cautiously optimistic for a new LP

 

Yeah I feel like once I understand the new band’s vibe I may be able to return to the song and “get” it a bit more, but it sorta fell flat for me in a vacuum. The guitar line seemed like it was striving for the simplicity and sprawl of something like “beautiful blue sky” but I personally felt it didn’t have the same oomph
