Disaffectation is my new theme song

 

yeah this has grown on me a ton, really really digging it now and it only seems like it'll get better

 

This is the most immediate any of their records has been for me.

 

I didn't know about this record or band, listened to it and loved it!

 

Oh that’s awesome! Did you just listen to the latest album? All their stuff is great, but they really tapped into something special with that one. Their new single from last week is pretty incredible too.

 

I listened to "Plowing Into the Field of Love". I really liked how they took the post-punk formula and mixed it with stuff you wouldn't have thought would worked. Like there was one song that was kinda outlaw country-esque that I really dug. I'm going to relisten after I get through all of the releases today for sure! I'll be sure to spin that new single to, looking forward to their next album.

This is definitely my favorite of the albums released this week and may be my fave of the year thus far.

“Oh today more than any other day, I am excited to go grocery shopping.” How silly that that phrase speaks absolute volumes to me and where I’m at

 

@Cody there are so many times I am listening to this band and something stops me dead in my tracks. I can't think of the last time since Matt Berninger someone has so eloquently captured the absurdity and mundanity of modern life.

 

that song and beautiful blue sky are just absolutely brilliant brilliant tracks

By far their best album, to me. More melodic, and i love the singing.

 

I’ve listened to Desire more than I’ve listened to any song in years

 

After a handful of listens I can say the first five songs are stellar, but once Brief Shield kicks in it really brings the momentum wayyy down and then they aren't able to fully recover. Good release, but more top heavy than I would like.

 

This band is fucking ridiculous live

 

this is a lot of fun. i don’t love the vocals on every song but their energy fucking rules
