Also it seems like Jade's gear got stolen in California last night.

Good time to buy a record / t shirt / download online to help out.

Edit: less than 100 copies of the first press left and his label is donating everything to replacing his gear this weekend.

 

I'm basically obsessed with this record now. If I'm being honest it's even giving The Menzingers a run for its money as my favorite thing to come out so far this year.

 

I love the Menzingers but this is at least as good. At least.

For those of you who've been paying attention, I like this so much more than I did on my initial listen

 

I hope they change the name for the vinyl release and call it The Yunahon LP

 

yeah. this has been slowly creepin up but i think if i have to decide today, its my AOTY so far.

Yeah this definitely edges out the menz for AOTY for me as well. I love after the party but this record just stays in rotation.

 

I have this in my top 5 with Menzingers and Sorority Noise above it.

they are playing near me but it's not all ages ahhhh dang

Probably bc surviving is tight idk buying the album is always an option and maybe better long term? People tend to give Bandcamp stuff a chance when it has a ton of supporters

 

I just can't justify the price there, but I wish I could. 18 for the record shipped or 44 for the record and shirt shipped.

Yeah the shirt is really expensive which is a bummer, I bought the record when he first announced it and went back for a shirt this weekend but ended up not buying because of the price. Ended up just buying the record on bandcamp again to help.

Also I forgot to mention but I saw them live for the first time and it was very very good, I highly recommend it for anyone on the fence. Their set was super short but that's what we get for SXSW / house shows. It's cool to see the amount of kids coming out and singing his songs though. I'm pretty sure our rough count had 150ish people watching his set, which is insane for a TX house show.

 

They've played a like 5-6 song set both times I saw them headline. Really huge bummer

 

Interesting, maybe he just likes really short sets. We had them slotted for 35 minutes and Jade personally asked us to cut 5 minutes so we could squeeze another band on the bill between them and mom jeans, and even then I think he only played for 20-25 minutes, and like you said he probably did 5 or so songs.

Interested to see if he takes the live show up a notch next tour now that the album is picking up a lot of hype.

 

their set was short at my show but i feel like it was still about a half hour and there were like five bands so that seemed normal

 

got 8 songs/32 minutes on the recorded set from the show i did last year

 

I think this just clicked for me this weekend.

 

I actually paid $5 for this when I originally downloaded it bc I liked it so much.

 

i paid 9 so ha
