seems like the hype is finally building a bit

 

this and the backward dancer LP have def made my week.

 

Listening again now, it gets better every time.

increasingly convinced this is the best thing jade has done, state lines included.

 

This record is awesome, very very good. Also I can't help but hear the shithead from Cute Is What We Aim For in the singer's vocals during the chorus of "Reindeer Games", which I thought was funny.

 

Listened to this last night, I enjoyed it. Probably needs more listens, but I thought it was good. I'm gonna see them tonight

 

Definitely give it some more listens (especially while reading lyrics), it went from "good" to "AOTY territory" for me after a few listens.

 

yeah i listened with the lyrics, but i think the real difference will come not listening to it on my laptop haha. i saw a lot of people comparing it to older aughts indie rock and i expected something completely different tbh
