A couple of things: 1) If this had come out when I was in high school, it'd probably be one of my favorite albums ever haha. I still really like it, but I feel like I would have been head-over-heels in love with it back then. 2) This reminds me of Future Crooks a lot, mostly vocally, I also hear some Saves The Day in the vocal delivery sometimes (tho I like his voice much more than Chris Conley's tbh). Idk if anyone else hears that or if it's just me.
I definitely don't hear the Chris Conley comparison but maybe some Future Crooks in there, definitely. I actually think this is his best project vocally. He's really improved his upper register although I would say he relies a lot on falsetto for this album I'm so glad this is on spotify now-- its only grown on me since my first few listens
Something about that moment reminds me of Tegan & Sara big time. I think it's the background vocals. Also, I feel like I might be alone on this but Reindeer Games is actually one of my least favorites on this record. Still really like it, just like basically every track after it better.
The Walk, Get There, Great Big Beaches, Shoes, The Slope, and The Plant Mouth are all in the running for my favorite song atm.
shocker, it's hard when only one person on the site can really push records to the main crowd and that person doesn't particularly listen to under the radar user recommendations
its spreading, it takes time... I actually think its doing pretty well, way more recognition than the last one which was really good as well
