Convenience factor mainly. I'm all for listening on Bandcamp when I'm sitting at my desk but having it on my phone for when I'm in the car or commuting to work would be nice.
Usually my reason for wanting things on spotify. I also like making playlists with spotify and whatnot
Good to see this getting the critical praise it deserves (though I'm surprised I seem to be the only one who hears more Get Up Kids influence on this than DCFC/Built for Spill)
I have the Bandcamp app. I'm honestly just being nitpicky. What I like about Spotify is being able to have everything centralized, have the ability to make playlists, etc.
pretty weird how much this album is blowing up right now i also don't think this is that much better than the last one, which i adored, haha
I think this one is just a lot more focused and developed as a whole while the last one just had really good tracks on it. For me personally the record is warming up to me due to the unusual 80-90 degree weather down here in Austin. I'm guessing that once the weather warms up and they go on this tour the album will pick up even more steam. I hate comparing two albums that sound nothing alike, but this will likely end up being my "Teens of Denial" for the year.
on this one or the last one? because one of my biggest complaints is how much more raw this one sounds than the last one, lol
I think it's a good comparison too. I don't think that it's nearly the same scale of fan base (Oso Oso seems a LOT smaller and obviously has way less albums released), but I think both acts come across as very genuine as far as the organic growth from actual DIY to a larger audience. Not to mention both albums made me feel like picking up my guitar again, which is something not a lot of music does for me anymore.
I have no excuse for not doing that. Just lazy. Hahaha I didn't have enough interest on the first listen to warrant the download.
