Listened to it this morning, still great but I still wish the production was a bit bigger.

 

Next album, with a bigger budget im sure they could do great things. Also is this more of a band now rather than a solo project?

 

I mean I think the last LP was much better sounding than this too

 

I finally listened to this today and I'm so glad for it


Incredible record

 

This sounds great to me, no complaints. When it's supposed to be a big sounding guitar part I feel like it gets there. Maybe the drums could be a little harder hitting but feel like the drum sound is on purpose (sounds a little like weatherbox)

 

In what way?

 

i can just imagine the guitars sounding bigger and things sounding a bit clearer. like, even compared to last record i think this record feels like it was recorded quite a bit more raw and lo-fi

 

Def feeling that Weatherbox comparison, I remember Jade tweeting about them ages ago and how good they are or something along those lines

You don't think he's gonna expand? Jamie from Sideonedummy has been posting about them a lot so I can see them getting on there.

 

not this time, can't imagine a new press being on a new label

 

I can see a rerelease but Sideonedummy seems big for them. Sideone does have a history of signing up and coming bands and rereleasing the album.

I just think that some film student is making a video and they are pressing another press of the records.

 

Really wouldn't be surprised by a Side One signing a la Microwave to rerelease. Jamie is really good about finding albums that people should love but haven't heard and expanding bands' profiles

 

Yeah she seems to be pushing Mom Jeans pretty hard too

 

jamie is great and i'm glad she's doing so well in the scene, she was lovely back when she was first getting started doing publicity
