Got my record yesterday. Haven't listened yet, but love the color of the record and happy with the lyric sheet.
This has admittedly fallen off a little for me from when I first got into it - it's no longer a top three aoty - but I still think it's a fantastic pop-punk-leaning rock album that pairs nicely with sunny summer days and car rides with the windows down. There is a lot of very interesting guitar work in these songs, and Jade knows how to craft a catchy hook. I'm very excited to see them alongside The Hotelier in the fall. The "breakdown" in The Bearer of the Truths still gets me riled up.
this has grown on me a ton, haha. Basically did what I expected it to do. I hold this way above the last one now and I loved that one
Wow I want to catch an acoustic show now. Second song sounds like stay what you are era saves the day. Is it from the other lp?
That whole album is "he can't possibly write another melody that good, can he?" And then him writing another melody that good. It's wild stuff.
