I somehow missed this coming out, but I've been listening nonstop since I saw it was released. Such a great album

 

this is the first cd ive bought in years and so its the only thing i listen to in my car now. i miss having that one cd that just plays every time you drive

 

I'm excited for my vinyl to ship.

 

since i bought this cd i have since bought 13 other cds, but this still maintains a spot on my cd player in my car

I think the only album I like as much as this one is The Smith Street Band album. I'm really excited to see what Jade's next step is going to be, because if the momentum keeps up he's going to have a very productive album cycle.

 

So the singer of this band played in Hotelier for a minute right?

 

yeah, jade was the guy whose birthday it was at the outdoor show we went to that i talked to, haha
that was also his last show with the band

 

i enjoyed the audiotree session a lot, interesting approach to writing too

 

Vinyl sold out. If anyone has an extra copy I'd be interested. I should have just night it right away but things came up and I was holding off until around now to put my order in.

I know. Even though it's like $20 I just had stuff come up. Just had a $600 vet bill so I wasn't trying to feed my vinyl addiction.

 

There is a ringer NBA podcast that is using a song from this album as the intro music. Kind of a cool plug.

 

Yeah cause this is one of the best albums of the year

 

Not my AOTY (that's Dirty Projectors), but it's very close. The fact that he's based in Long Beach, NY and writes songs about it, a town I live in and am a HUGE homer for, really makes me want to rank it as my AOTY though.

The LBNY connection is definitely part of why the bridge and breakdown of "the walk" is the best part of the entire album for me.
