saw em last night in slc with about 10 other people. i think i was the only person there that wasn't in one of the opening bands ha. some of these western weeknights must be rough. got the cd and a shirt tho. played maybe 8 songs, all but 1 from yunahon. fun night.
That was solid! For those interested: The Cool Plant Mouth The Secret Spot Track 1, Side A Shoes Reindeer Games Assuming this is the same set for the tour, minus a song or 2
I really want to go to see them tomorrow, the venue is about 45 minutes away but it's only a $5 cover. My girlfriend and I were gonna go to a poetry open mic but I might try to convince her to go to this instead. There's only 4 bands on the bill, including them, so I'm hoping they'd play for at least 45 minutes.
fwiw, i made the same drive to catch em last week in slc. i dont think his set hit 30 minutes. still worth it.
Stoked for Monday even though it will be my third time seeing them play a 25-30 minute set, which always bums me out haha Hopefully next tour we get a longer set
i mean that's a normal set for any band of this scene who hasn't blown up and is headlining 300 cap venues no band at house shows should be playing more than 30 mins unless you're significantly bigger than the rest
I feel like The Hotelier was playing a little bit longer sets than these on their come up, but maybe I'm wrong. I remember when I used to see TJ play house shows and small shows and they would only play like 6 songs and I would drive so far every time and get so upset
They played about 40 minutes on Wednesday, I think (and they sounded awesome). The venue gave them a full headlining slot (75 minutes on the production sheet, I think), so they threw in some extra songs that they said they hadn't played much on this tour.
