Loving the production on this. Really clean bass and guitar giving it some cool late 90s summer vibes another great oso oso album
dog without its bark and skippy were first listen standouts. Only compliant is that it was such a quick album.
loved the first listen. cool to see what "dog without it's bark" became really stood out along with the closer. primo guitar pop!
getting to listen on a humid morning walk with a crisp breeze is peak Oso weather as well. highly recommend.
Just got through my first listen at work, enjoying it so far. Absolutely love the closer. Only real complaint is that I wish it was a bit longer.
Outside of the singles, Skippy is definitely the standout to me. I'm gonna need a bunch of listens. I think I put this on a little high of a pedestal before listening and think my expectations were a little too high going in. But the last 3 Oso records have all ended up being some of my go-to records for all situations, and I think this will slot in there as well.
My only real complaint is that after a handful of listens I’m finding that a lot of the songs kind of blend together. Not a problem for me because it’s a great listen regardless but this is the first Oso Oso album where I’ve felt that way. I’m also sure the songs will start to distinguish themselves with time. Maybe it’s just me.
Every Oso Oso album aside from Basking in the Glow has been a grower for me. Never really came around on the last one but I can see this getting better with each listen.
Oso Oso was the ultimate grower band for me. I was casually listening for years and saw them a handful of times before things truly clicked for me about 2 years ago and I became fully obsessed.
